Covid wave crests, Bay Area cities reduce or eliminate services, and courts are force to halt trials.
All federal criminal and civil trials in U. S. District Court for the Northern District of California have been halted until January 26 due to the recent widespread of the omicron variant of Covid-19, according to court officials this week.
The Northern District includes the entire Bay Area, extending from Monterey County in the south to Del Norte County in the north. It holds trials in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and McKinleyville, close to Eureka. Read more at SFBay.ca
