Tolls on Bay Area bridges increase, while penalties for FasTrak violations decrease.
ANTIOCH, CA. — The initial penalty for failing to pay bridge tolls via the FasTrak system has been reduced from $25 to $5, and the second violation fee has been reduced from $70 to $15, according to the Bay Area Toll Authority on Wednesday.
However, the tolls increased by $1 with the start of the new year, with another $1 increase scheduled for January 1, 2025. They are part of Regional Measure 3 toll increases, the first of which took effect in 2019. Read more about it at the Daily Republic.
