The California National Guard arrive in Antioch Ca. for Covid testing assistance
ANTIOCH, CA. — This weekend, hundreds of California National Guard members have been deployed around the state to assist COVID testing facilities, including several in the Bay Area. Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the guard on Friday in response to an increase in new cases caused by the omicron variant.
A huge line formed outside Antioch Community Center on Saturday for a COVID-19 test, and soldiers of the California National Guard were on hand to assist.
